Steve Dawson with special guest Mike Stack

October 26th, 2025 at 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$47.50 – $50.00

Over the past three decades, Steve Dawson has become such an indelible fixture on the musical landscape of Americana music that it’s tempting to take him for granted. The music that flows out of him is so natural and authentic that it’s possible to forget all of the toil that went into producing it.

Behind the seemingly endless stream of award winning musical output (he has produced and/or played on more than 300 albums since the turn of the millennium, 7 of which have won Juno Awards), is one of the hardest working musicians that Canada has ever produced. Whether he’s turning heads on the concert circuit with his incendiary guitar playing, or pulling the best possible performances out of the many artists that he works with in the studio, Dawson is always striving to take things to the next level.

A native of Vancouver, Canada, but residing in Nashville as of 2013, where he works as a solo artist, sideman, and record producer, Steve has forged an impressive career full of highlights and awards, including:

  • 7 Juno Awards as artist/producer, 18 times nominated
  • 3 times named “Producer Of The Year” at Western Canadian Music Awards
  • 4 times named “Producer Of The Year” at Canadian Folk Music Awards

Recipient of many other awards including Maple Blues Awards, Grand Prix De Jazz De Montreal, Blues Blast Awards, and many Western Canadian Music Awards and Canadian Folk Awards as an artist and producer multi-instrumentalist, and engineer living and working in Nashville, TN. He spent the last few years pre-pandemic on the road playing guitar, pedal steel, Weissenborn, banjo and dobro with Allison Russell’s band Birds of Chicago, and Canadian powerhouse Matt Andersen. Steve tours as a solo artist, or with a band regualrly and venues and festivals around the world. He has produced, engineered and mixed over 100 albums for many artists (Including 7 Juno Award-winning albums, and 17 nominations), and continues to work as a side-person and freelance musician both on stage and in the studio. Known for his captivating fingerstyle and slide guitar work, Steve has carved out a niche as a unique musician and engaging solo artist at clubs and festivals world-wide. Steve is also the creator of the well-loved Music Makers and Soul Shakers podcast, which has been going for over 8 years and 175 episodes. During 2020, Steve recorded enough material for 3 solo albums, all of which were released throughout 2022/2023. Steve continues to produce, engineer and mix albums for other artists and tour solo or with his band, or whoever else asks him along for the ride.
